Our return policy

All items purchased online and in-store can be returned within 7 days from the date of delivery. Your returns are valid for exchange or store credit only, and must be in brand new, original condition without any signs of wear. Any items that do not meet these requirements will be returned to you.

All Kolekto purchases can be returned or exchanged, with the exception of the following:

-Special orders and custom items

-Any items bought on sale, or purchased at a discounted price

-Any items shipped internationally

Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable — you will be responsible for all shipping & re-shipping charges for refunds and exchanges. Kolekto has to right to refuse the return of goods that does not meet our return policy requirement.

To start your refund or exchange process, please email us at hello@kolektojewelry.com to receive a Return Authorization Number (RA#) and return instructions. Keep in mind that our store credit has no expiration date, and can be used anytime.

Gift returns

You can exchange your gift from Kolekto within 7 days of delivery for another gift of the same value. Any price difference, shipping, customs, taxes, and import duties will incur an additional cost.

How Kolekto returns work

After you’ve sent us an email to start your return process, we’ll respond as soon as possible with a Return Authorization number. Once you’ve received this email, please print it out — along with a copy of your full name, address, phone number and email address — and include it with your merchandise to send back to Kolekto to the following address:

Your merchandise must be shipped securely packaged, pre-paid, and insured, and received by Kolekto within 7 days of receiving your Return Authorization number for domestic orders, and 10 days for international orders. For the most secure delivery possible, we recommend using UPS, FedEx, or USPS with insurance and tracking. We do not take any responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that your return packages are lost, stolen, or mishandled before they are received. Please also note that Kolekto can not accept any packages that are sent cash-on-delivery (COD).

Once we’ve received your return, we’ll notify you by email and process your request within 5 business days upon receiving the package. If your return is approved, we’ll email you and issue a credit to your Kolekto account for this original amount of the merchandise (only the value of the merchandise and sales tax, minus any discounts, if any, will be applied). Shipping charges and import duties are not included in merchandise credits.

Q: How do I return my purchase?

A: Not the right fit? No worries — as long as it’s within 7 days of your delivery date, you can exchange or return your order for store credit (with no expiration date!). Q: How will you ship my purchase, and when will I receive it?

A: We use USPS, UPS, and FedEx for domestic shipments, and DHL for international shipments. We insure all shipments for the value of the merchandise. You’ll be able to choose your shipment method when you make your purchase.

We will send out your orders within 3 business days of your purchase, but your delivery date will depend on your selected shipment method. If you haven’t received a shipment that was sent, please contact the shipper with the tracking number that we provide you once the item is shipped.

Q: Can I purchase from Kolekto if I don’t live in the US?

A: Yes, we offer international shipping to most countries in the world! Please note that for some international orders, we may email you to request additional information required by the shipper. Please reply to this email within 7 days to avoid the cancellation of your order.

Q: I accidentally broke my favorite piece. What should I do?

A: Although we cannot take responsibility for jewelry damaged during wear, we want to help however we can. Send us an email at hello@kolektojewelry.com with photos and a description of what happened, and we’ll get back to you with advice on what to do next.

Jewelry Care

Every piece of jewelry from Kolekto is delicate. It’s what makes our pieces beautiful, but it also means that they need a little extra care.

Here are a few things to keep in mind to help keep your delicate pieces as beautiful as the first day you tried them on:

  • Avoid wearing your jewelry while you’re working out. (Trust us, they don’t need the exercise!)
  • The chemicals in cleaning products, pools, spas, and hot springs are always bad news for fine jewelry — avoid putting your jewelry in contact with any of these.
  • When in doubt, take your jewelry off and store it in a safe place. Just try not to stick it in your back pocket (we’ve certainly heard our share of horror stories).

And a few key tips to keep your gold as shiny as possible:

  • Every once in a while, gently wipe your gold jewelry down with a glasses cleaning cloth — the natural sebum from your skin can cause your jewelry to become duller over time.
  • Be wary of using jewelry polishing cloths (which you may have received in the past with silver jewelry), as they can contain particles that can file off the surface of your gold or stone pieces. We especially don’t recommend using these on gold-plated jewelry.
