Yukurite is a studio established in 2010 by glass artist Katsuya Yuki and ceramic artist Takako Watanabe as a place to connect people with thoughtful handmade creations. The name originates from an old Japanese word “Yukuri (ユクリ)”, which means human connection (縁), and the word “Te (テ)” which means hand (手). 

This exhibition focuses on the world of ceramic work by Takako Watanabe. Takako graduated from Bunka Gakuen University in Japan, with a major in Art and Design. By using the material clay and various ceramic techniques, Takako creates decorative sculptures and containers based on the theme of “The co-existence of human and nature - plants and animals”.
